The group was established on 5 February 2020 in response to a need identified through community consultations with various men over the Tyne Social Community Club.
Tyne Social Community Club membership comprise of black minority ethnic group. The Tyne Social Community Club welcomes participation from any person that comes from the socially isolated and marginalised communities. Most of our members arrived in the UK 10 to 20 years ago as adults struggle to fit in the mainstream way of life due to many factors such as inability to adopt different climatic, employment, social and educational conditions. These changes often result in people lacking confidence to participate in activities which eventually leads to an offset of different physical and mental health conditions. Lack of work life balance often strikes person’s way of life and is increasingly making an impact on their mental health within our memberships, we are committed and determined to raise awareness in every aspect that our members highlight as concern during our focus groups./p>
